Have you ever sailed in an old historic wooden sail ship, or schooner as they are also called, where you actively help with the sails and are part of the crew?
This is something that I would really like to do some day, for example on a week long trip around Fyn, the island in Denmark from where I come. I was even more encouraged to jump on such a ship when I happened to be in Svendborg on the final day of a race around Fyn in these old schooners.
As all the ships sailed into the harbour that day, I could just image how harbours used to be in the old days, when only sail ships arrived, ferrying both passengers and goods around - no engines to be heard anywhere.
