Each year we cannot wait till it comes, each year it is suddenly upon us and each year we fully embrace it: the Spring!
I love the springtime, when every little bud starts coming out, when I can sew my seeds for my tiny vegetable plot and when the checkered lily comes out in its full glory.
I love one particular flower, the Fritillaria Checkered Lily Meleagris. It's so fragile and yet so powerful in its strange checkered colouring. I now have one pot of these bulbs and to my surprise they came out in great glory this year also, despite being dug up from my previous home to the pot they are all in now. I hope to plant some out in the new garden later on, so that they will spread a bit for next year!
