Yesterday was the day of music in Brussels. The three large classical orchestras in town got together and had some of their musicians performing in unusual places around the city: The United Music of Brussels. This was the second year of such event; it was created last year to get people out to meet and listen to music in places where one normally would not go to hear classical music. Concerts took place in bike shops, tattoo parlors, art museums, hotels and so on. I was helping as a volunteer and enjoyed immensely inviting people in for a short free concert of beautiful music.
Final concert took place in a large church, where we all gathered in the evening. Beautiful setting for a symphonic orchestra with the daylight just about to disappear at that time.
