There are two places where the scents of the town hit me like no other place. Seville in Spain with its orange flowers in the spring and the jasmine bushes in Italy right now in summer.
Practically each house in North Italy has a bush or more and most often one full hedge to the street of jasmines. And what scent they give!
I cannot get enough of this wonderful smell while walking around the streets - and in addition, the jasmine flowers make the streets pretty.
I would like to figure out how to preserve jasmine flowers like we do with lavender. An idea would be to knit some small bags to preserve this great scent.
In the meanwhile, I will promenade round the small Italian towns taking in this wonderful scent!
