When visiting Pisa and the leaning tower last month, I considered some of the decoration of the tower in knit.
In fact, it turned out much better than I could have imagined. I selected the one small decoration at the bottom of the leaning tower and copied the best I could the pattern of the triangles there. I like the way the triangles build into squares, just like a patchwork blanket.
