I was in Denmark last week, staying in the cosy small Southern town, Fåborg.
This town is known for its belfry, which is a beautiful old bell tower built around 1500. It plays its short chimed tunes four times a day which just makes you feel like in Hans Christian Andersen land (in fact, H.C. Andersen did fall in love with a girl from Fåborg).
Our hotel was on the small main square with a great view to the belfry, and its short old tunes could easily be heard from the hotel.
In contrast to the many much larger towers, I have documented on these pages, I think the Belfry of Fåborg also merits a mention here.
Do not miss a visit if you come to these parts of the world!
