I few weeks ago when in Paris, I wrote about this painting from an exhibition at the museum of modern art in the Palais de Tokyo.
Today I want to take you outside the palace and show you the female guardians there.
These serene women looking out over the river Seine just seem so tranquil in their spots at the museum. These are by no means refined sculptures, being simple in their features but they are perfect for this large rather heavy structure of a palace.
Next time you will be in Paris, promise to pass by Palais de Tokyo if for nothing else to gaze at these graceful guardians.
